ATO logbook lost data

We stuffed up. We put out a release that hid people’s data. And if they created a new car, it overwrote the index file. We are incredibly sorry and embarrassed    about that.

undelete1The good news is that the data is still there. All your logs are safe, as long as you didn’t delete the app. And even if you did, and had backups turned on, they are safe.

In the latest version of the app, 11.17, we have added a way to get your data back.

Go to the menu, and select undelete. There you will see all t

he data you have save on the device. You can see when it was created, as well as how many l

og entries are in each one.

Click on it to undelete this one.

We don’t have a backup of the name and description, as well as the icon you selected, so you will need to enter that in again. If you aren’t sure which car is associated with which set of logs, you can always go and edit this later, by swiping left from the main screen.

Once you have entered in those details, press save, and now your car and its logs will be back on the main screen.
